Drilling Grade Calcined Petroleum Coke
Product Description
Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) is a carbon-rich material produced by heating green petroleum coke under controlled conditions to reduce volatile matter and improve physical properties. For drilling-related or other specialized use, the product must be defined by the customer’s application and verified specification; CPC is not interchangeable with bentonite, barite or other drilling-fluid minerals.
Key Applications
  • Industrial carbon applications specified by the customer
  • Metallurgical and carbon-related processes, subject to grade
  • Drilling-related use only where explicitly qualified by the end user
Technical & Procurement Information
Typical buyer checks: fixed carbon, sulphur, ash, volatile matter, moisture, real/apparent density, resistivity where relevant, particle-size distribution and calcination status. Do not claim a drilling-fluid function without a validated application specification.
