Limestone is a calcium-carbonate-rich mineral used in construction and a range of industrial processes. It can be supplied as rock, aggregate, powder or micronized material. In drilling and well operations, selected calcium carbonate grades may be specified as bridging or weighting materials, depending on particle-size distribution and the fluid programme.
